static exercise for knee

 knee extension over the Roll

Patient position over a rolled up towel as shown.

pull toes up toward the shin and fully straighten the knee 

hold for 10 seconds

return to start position and repeat do 2 sets of 5









Static quadriceps 

Start on unaffected leg.

pull the toes up toward your shin, push your knee into the bed to tighten the quadriceps muscle.this should cause your heel to slightly lift off the bed.hold for 10 seconds. repeat on affected leg do 2 sets of 5.

knee extension muscle Strengthening exercise

Sit on upright chair.Raise one foot up with the leg outstretched.lift your thigh slightly off the chair.raise the leg alternately with the inner edge of your foot then with the outer edge upward. do 5 sets, repeating the exercise five time on each side.
